Defect

In the engine, the weld geometry on the camshaft is incorrect, concentrating stress at that location and resulting in insufficient strength. Continued use causes a crack to develop at the weld. In the worst case, the camshaft fractures and the engine stalls.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the camshaft with a corrected part.

状況

原動機において、カムシャフトの溶接部の形状が不適切なため、当該部分に応力が集中す ることから、強度が不足し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該部分に亀裂が生じ 、最悪の場合、カムシャフトが折損して原動機が停止するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、カムシャフトを対策品と交換する。
