Defect
The clip securing the manual transmission control cable to the frame has insufficient strength. Repeated transmission operation causes the clip to fracture, and a fragment of the clip contacts the alternator wiring. This damages the wiring insulation and causes a short circuit. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the manual transmission control cable clip with a corrected part.

状況
手動変速機コントロールケーブルをフレームに固定しているクリップの強度が不足してい るため、当該手動変速機の作動の繰り返しでクリップが折損して、クリップの一部が発電 機(オルタネータ)の配線と接触する事により、当該配線の被覆が損傷して短絡し、最悪 の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該手動変速機コントロールケーブルのクリップを対策品と交換する。
