Defect
The manufacturing process for the clips that retain the fuel pipe from the engine injection pump is improper, and some clips have developed cracks during assembly. Continued use in this condition may cause a clip to fall off and, in the worst case, allow the fuel pipe to fracture due to vibration.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected clips with conforming parts.
