Defect
On full-time four-wheel-drive light trucks, the spline section of the front hub flange that connects the drive shaft has insufficient hardness, causing the spline to wear. This wear produces abnormal noise. If the vehicle continues to be operated in this condition, the drive shaft may spin freely and, in the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the front hub flange and drive shaft with corrected parts. Additionally, replace the knuckle seal with a corrected part to prevent the ingress of mud and water.

状況
小型トラックのフルタイム式四輪駆動車のフロントハブフランジにおいて、ドライブシャフトを接合するスプライン部の硬度が不足しているため、当該スプライン部が摩耗することがある。そのため、異音が発生するとともに、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、ドライブシャフトが空転して、最悪の場合、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フロントハブフランジ、ドライブシャフトを対策品に交換する。また、泥水等の浸入を防ぐ為、ナックルシールを対策品に交換する。
