Defect
The electromagnetic switch that supplies and cuts power to the starter motor contains improperly assembled terminals. If a highly conductive liquid contacts the unit, it may penetrate the terminal area and cause a short circuit. Continued operation in this condition can result in switch malfunction and burning of the area around the terminal.
Corrective action
Verify the engine serial number. On affected vehicles, replace the electromagnetic switch with a conforming part. If the connected wiring shows burn damage, replace it with a conforming part as well.

状況
始動装置のスタータモータへの電源を通電･遮断するための電磁スイッチにおいて、端子 の組付けに不適切なものがあるため、導電性の高い液体がかかると当該端子部内に侵入し 短絡することがあり、このままの状態で使用を続けると作動不良になり、当該端子部付近 が焼損するおそれがある。
改善措置
原動機の製造番号を確認し、該当する車両は、電磁スイッチを良品と交換する。また、接 続している配線に焼損がある場合には、良品と交換する。
