Defect
In the powertrain, the fastening structure between the rear axle casing and the differential carrier is inadequate. Repeated severe acceleration and deceleration can cause the fastening bolts to loosen and oil to leak. In the worst case, the final drive gear may seize and render the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On vehicles with 8 fastening bolts, all vehicles: replace the bolts with corrected parts and add spacers and anti-rotation plates. On vehicles with 10 fastening bolts: replace the differential carrier and axle casing with corrected parts.

状況
動力伝達装置において、後車軸のアクスルケーシングとデフキャリアの締結構造が不適切 なため、過酷な加減速を繰り返した場合、当該締結部のボルトが緩みオイルが漏れ、最悪 の場合、終減速機が焼き付いて走行できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
締結部のボルトが8本のものについては、全車両、当該ボルトを対策品と交換すると共に スぺーサー及び回り止めプレートを追加装着する。また、締結ボルトが10本のものにつ いては、デフキャリア及びアクスルケーシングを対策品と交換する。
