Defect
Water intrudes into the magnetic switch that controls current flow to the starter motor. This causes the switch contacts to rust and malfunction. Continued use allows the contacts to overheat to the point where current to the starter motor can no longer be interrupted, and in the worst case the starter motor may burn out.
Corrective action
Replace the magnetic switch on all vehicles with the corrected part.

状況
エンジンスタータ（始動機）のスタータモータへの電流を通電・遮断するための開閉器 の内部に水が侵入し、接点が錆びて作動不良となるものがある。そのままの状態で使用を 続けると、接点の発熱によりスタータモータへの電流が遮断できなくなり、最悪の場合、 スタータが焼損する恐れがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該開閉器を対策品と交換する。
