Defect
The waterproof deflector plate protecting the ignition system and related components located at the lower rear of the vehicle was improperly shaped. During extended high-speed driving in rain, water can enter the distributor through its ventilation port and accumulate inside. Continued use may cause ignition misfire, engine stall, and inability to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the waterproof deflector plate with the corrected part and attach a drain hose to the distributor body. On vehicles equipped with a contact-type distributor, also install a waterproof cover.

状況
車両の後方下部にある原動機の点火装置等を保護するための防水板の形状が不適切なため 、雨天時に高速道路等を長時間走行した場合、配電器(ディストリビュ-タ)の換気孔か ら雨水が入り、当該配電器内部に溜まるものがあり、このままの状態で使用を続けると、 最悪の場合、点火装置が失火して原動機が停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、防水板を対策品と交換するとともに、配電器本体にホ-スを取り付ける。 なお、接点方式の配電器については、防水カバ-を取り付ける。
