Issue
On the side radar sensor, a defect in the data processing software may cause the stored calibration data — used to correct the sensor's transmission angle — to be lost when the system is shut down. Without this data, the sensor cannot accurately detect the position of surrounding objects, and the warning alert or collision mitigation brake may fail to activate during forward or rearward travel. Additionally, the system may trigger a false warning alert when no collision risk exists, and in the worst case, may apply an emergency brake intervention.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the side radar sensor control software is updated to the corrected software. If the sensor's calibration data has already been lost, the side radar sensor unit is replaced with a corrected replacement part.

状況
サイドレーダーセンサにおいて、情報処理プログラムが不適切なため、センサが電波を出す角度を補正するための記録情報が、システム遮断時に消失することがある。そのため、センサが対象物の位置を正しく認識できず、前進あるいは後退時に警報音や被害軽減ブレーキが作動しないおそれがある。また、衝突の可能性がないにもかかわらず、警報音が鳴り、最悪の場合、急制動がかかるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、サイドレーダーセンサの制御プログラムを対策プログラムに修正する。なお、サイドレーダーセンサの記録情報が消失している場合は、サイドレーダーセンサを対策品に交換する。
