Issue
During the manufacturing process of the reduction gear unit, the inspection method used to verify parking lock (the mechanism that mechanically locks the wheels when Park (P) is selected) operation is incorrect, causing the parking pawl shaft to be deformed on some units. When the parking lock engages in Park, the sliding resistance between the parking pawl and the shaft increases, preventing the parking lock from engaging. In the worst case, if the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll depending on parking conditions.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify parking lock operation. If a malfunction is found, replace the affected reduction gear unit with a conforming unit.

状況
減速機の製造工程において、パーキングロック(Pレンジにした際に車輪を機械的に固定するもの)の作動確認検査方法が不適切なため、パーキングポールのシャフトが変形しているものがある。そのため、Pレンジでパーキングロックが作動する際にパーキングポールとシャフトの摺動抵抗が高くなり、パーキングロックが作動せず、最悪の場合、駐車条件によっては駐車ブレーキを掛けていないと、車両が動くおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、パーキングロックの作動確認を行い、作動不良があった場合は当該減速機を良品と交換する。
