Issue
On vehicles equipped with the idling stop (i-Stop) system, the control software for the electric power steering control unit is incorrect. After the engine automatically restarts from an idling stop state, the power steering function may rarely fail to activate, increasing the steering effort required.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the electric power steering control unit with a corrected part.

状況
アイドリングストップ(i-Stop)仕様車において、電動式パワーステアリング制御用コンピュータのプログラムが不適切なため、アイドリングストップ状態からエンジンが自動で再始動した後に、まれにパワステ機能が作動しないことがあり、ハンドル操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、電動式パワーステアリング制御用コンピュータを対策品に交換する。
