Issue
In the airbag inflator used on motorcycle airbag systems, repeated cycles of ambient temperature and humidity change may degrade the gas-generating propellant. This degradation can cause abnormally elevated internal pressure during airbag deployment, which may rupture the inflator canister.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the motorcycle airbag module with a corrected/revised part. As an interim measure while replacement parts are being prepared, the airbag function will be disabled, the airbag warning lamp will be illuminated, and a warning indicating that the airbag is inoperative will be displayed on the airbag module cover.

状況
二輪車用エアバッグのインフレータ(膨張装置)において、環境温度および湿度変化の繰り返しによりガス発生剤が劣化することがある。そのため、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ内圧が異常上昇して、インフレータ容器が破損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、二輪車用エアバッグモジュールを対策品と交換する。 なお、部品の準備に時間を要することから、当面の暫定措置としてエアバッグの機能を停止するとともに、エアバッグ警告灯を点灯させ、エアバッグモジュールカバーに該当エアバッグが作動しない旨の警告を表示する。
