Issue
In the key interlock mechanism—which prevents the ignition key from being removed when the automatic transmission selector is in any position other than Park—the key cylinder body assembly process is incorrect. Metal particles generated during crimping of the key cylinder body cover become lodged in the interlock lever operating area, slowing lever movement. As a result, if the ignition key is rapidly withdrawn while the selector is in a position other than Park, the key may be removable. If the parking brake is not applied, the vehicle may roll away while parked.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect for ignition key removal with the selector in a position other than Park. On any vehicle from which the key can be removed, clean the lever sliding surfaces and replace the lever with a new part.

状況
キーインタロック機構(ATのPポジション以外でキーが抜けない機構)において、キーシリンダボディの組み立て工程が不適切なため、キーシリンダボディカバーカシメ時の金属粉がインタロックレバー作動部に噛み込み、レバーの作動が遅くなるものがある。そのため、ATセレクトレバーがPポジション以外の時に、短時間にキーを抜く操作を行うとキーが抜け、駐車ブレーキをかけ忘れた場合、駐車中に車両が動き出すおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、Pポジション以外でのイグニッションキー抜け状態を点検し、イグニッションキーが抜けるものは、当該レバー摺動部を清掃し、レバーを新品と交換する。
