Issue
On vehicles equipped with side curtain airbags, the airbag control unit software is incorrect. When a qualifying side-impact force is detected, the airbag deployment signal may be momentarily delayed. As a result, the side curtain airbags may not perform as intended.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the airbag control unit is replaced with a corrected part.
