Issue

On motorcycles, the throttle cable manufacturing process is improper, causing burrs to form on the inside of the outer casing on some units. The inner wire may catch on these burrs, fray, and snag against the outer casing, making it difficult for the throttle to return. In the worst case, the throttle may fail to return and engine speed may not decrease.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the throttle cable with a conforming part.

状況

 原動機付自転車において、スロットルケーブルの製造工程が不適切なため、当該ケーブ ルのアウターケーシング内側にバリが発生するものがあり、インナーワイヤがバリと干渉 してほつれてアウターケーシングに引っ掛かって戻りにくくなることがあり、最悪の場合 、スロットルが戻らず、原動機の回転が下がらなくなるおそれがある。

改善措置

 全車両、スロットルケーブルを良品と交換する。
