Defect
The passenger-side sun visor retaining force is insufficient. If the passenger airbag deploys while the sun visor is in use, the deploying airbag may strike the sun visor with significant force depending on its position, causing the sun visor and sun visor holder to detach. The detached components may then be propelled rearward and, in the worst case, strike the front passenger and cause injury.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add a tether strap to the passenger-side sun visor and replace the passenger-side sun visor holder with a corrected part.

状況
助手席サンバイザにおいて、サンバイザの保持力が不適切なため、サンバイザ使用中に助手席エアバッグが展開すると、サンバイザの位置によっては、当該エアバッグが強く接触し、サンバイザおよびサンバイザホルダが脱落する場合がある。そのため、サンバイザおよびサンバイザホルダが車両後方に飛ばされ、最悪の場合、助手席乗員に当たり、負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、助手席サンバイザにテザーストラップを追加するとともに、助手席サンバイザホルダを対策品に交換する。
