Defect
Some passenger-side airbag inflators were manufactured without the check valve pin installed. When the airbag deploys, the absence of this pin prevents the gas supply port from opening correctly, causing the airbag to inflate insufficiently. In a frontal collision, this may result in excessive injury to the occupant.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the airbag unit will be replaced with a conforming unit.

状況
助手席エアバッグにおいて、インフレータ（膨張装置）内のチェックバルブピンが取付 けられていないものがあるため、エアバッグが作動した際、膨張ガスをバッグに供給する ための孔が的確に開けられないため、当該エアバッグが十分に展開せず、前面衝突時に乗 員に過度の傷害を与えるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアバッグユニットを良品と交換する。
