Defect
The seat belt buckle latch plate on the driver and front passenger seats received improper heat treatment during manufacturing. If subjected to an extremely high load, the latch plate may deform. In the worst case, the belt may release and fail to restrain the occupant. Separately, the belt may fail to unlatch when the release button is pressed.
Corrective action
All vehicles: inspect the serial number of the affected seat belt buckle and replace any conforming unit with a non-defective part.

状況
運転者席及び助手席の座席ベルトにおいて、ベルトバックル部の噛合い金具の熱処理に不 適切なものがあるため、極端に大きな荷重を受けた場合、当該金具が変形し、最悪の場合 、ベルトが外れて乗員を拘束できなくなる恐れがある。また、ベルト解除ボタンを押して もベルトが外れなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、該当ベルトバックルの製造番号を点検し、該当するものは良品と交換する。
