Defect

On harvester-thresher vehicles, the main shift lever pivot and disc spring were designed with insufficient consideration, causing excessive load to be applied to the shift lever pivot. Continued use makes lever operation increasingly heavy. In the worst case, the weld at the lever pivot may fracture and separate, leaving the vehicle inoperable.

Corrective action

1) On all vehicles, replace the disc spring with the corrected part. 2) On all vehicles, replace the main shift lever with the corrected part.
