Defect
In studless tires for large trucks and buses, inadequate management of inspection equipment during the manufacturing process results in insufficient rubber bonding to the steel material in the sidewall area, leaving the inner rubber of the tire thinner than specified. During driving, the sidewall may sustain damage in the form of bulging or cracking, causing air to leak. In the worst case, the tire may burst.
Corrective action
Verify the manufacturing number (year/week code) on the studless tire sidewall. If the tire is identified as affected, replace it with a conforming unit.

状況
大型トラック・バス用スタッドレスタイヤにおいて、製造工程における検出機器の管理が不十分なため、サイドウォール部に配置しているスチール材料へのゴム付きが不足し、タイヤ内面のゴム厚みが薄くなるものがある。そのため、走行中にサイドウォール部が損傷（膨れ・亀裂）してエアが漏れ、最悪の場合、タイヤのバーストが発生するおそれがある。
改善措置
スタッドレスタイヤサイドウォール部の製造番号（年週コード）を確認し、該当する場合は当該タイヤを良品に交換する。
