Defect
The brake backing plate was not designed with sufficient consideration, causing it to interfere with the lift cylinder of the cargo-handling equipment on some units. Friction between the backing plate and the lift cylinder during cargo operations causes wear and eventual damage to the backing plate. In the worst case, brake force may decrease.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the clearance between the backing plate and the lift cylinder. If interference or wear is found, replace the lift cylinder with a new unit and replace the brake assembly with the corrected part.

状況
制動装置のバックプレートにおいて、設計検討が不十分なため、荷役装置のリフトシリンダと干渉しているものがある。そのため、荷役作業等でバックプレートとリフトシリンダに摩擦が生じ摩耗することにより、バックプレートが破損し、最悪の場合、制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、バックプレートとリフトシリンダの隙間を点検し、干渉している場合又は摩耗している場合には、リフトシリンダを新品に交換し、ブレーキASSYを対策品に交換する。
