Defect
The event data recorder uses software that does not correctly record vehicle stability control system and traction control system data when a collision occurs while the vehicle stability control system is set to off in a specific driving mode. As a result, the device does not conform to Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the airbag control unit with the corrected software. If crash event data has already been recorded, replace the airbag control unit.

状況
事故情報計測・記録装置において、事故時の情報を記録するプログラムが不適切なため、特定のドライビングモードで車両挙動安定化制御システムがオフ設定時に衝突事故が発生すると、当該装置に車両挙動安定化制御システムとトラクションコントロールシステムの情報が正しく記録されない。そのため、保安基準に適合しない。
改善措置
全車両、エアバッグコントロールユニットを対策プログラムに書き換える。なお、事故時の情報が記録されている場合は、エアバッグコントロールユニットを交換する。
