Defect
In the inline 2-cylinder engine, the fuel injection control program and the misfire-detection fail-safe control program in the engine control computer are incorrectly calibrated. When driving from high altitude to low altitude with low throttle opening, the computer may fail to correctly control the fuel injection volume. This causes insufficient fuel delivery, resulting in misfire, illumination of the warning light, and automatic shutoff of fuel injection to the misfiring cylinder, leading to rough engine operation. In the worst case, the engine may stall just before stopping or during departure and fail to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine control computer with the corrected/updated software.

状況
直列2気筒エンジンにおいて、エンジン制御コンピュータの燃料噴射制御プログラム及び失火検知時のフェールセーフ制御プログラムが不適切なため、高地から低地までスロットルを低開度で走行すると、燃料噴射量を正しく制御できないことがある。そのため、燃焼に必要な燃料噴射量が不足して失火し、警告灯が点灯するとともに失火検知した気筒の燃料噴射を停止して、エンジン不調となり、最悪の場合、停止直前や発進時にエンストして再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン制御コンピュータを対策プログラムに書き換える。
