Defect
The material used for internal components of the rear-wheel brake light switch is inadequate, allowing rainwater that enters the switch to cause rust on those components. Continued use may lead to poor electrical continuity at the contact points or malfunction of the movable contact, causing the brake light to fail to illuminate or to remain continuously illuminated.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rear-wheel brake light switch with a corrected part.

状況
後輪用制動灯スイッチの構成部品の材質が不適切なため、スイッチ内部に浸入した雨水等により当該部品に錆が発生することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、接点部の導通不良または可動接点の作動不良により、制動灯が不灯または常灯となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、後輪用制動灯スイッチを対策品に交換する。
