Defect
On large trucks fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG), the main stop valve is controlled improperly, causing vibration to occur during fuel filling. This vibration causes cracks to form in the fuel pipes. Repeated filling cycles propagate the cracks, which may result in a fuel leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add the main stop valve control wiring and a caution label, and replace the main stop valve and complete fuel pipe assembly with new parts.
