Defect
On large trucks equipped with compressed natural gas (CNG) engines, the main shutoff valve installed in the fuel line is made of an improper material. When exposed to moisture containing chlorine—such as road de-icing agents—the valve may develop cracks. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate, and fuel may leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the main shutoff valve with the corrected part.

状況
圧縮天然ガス(CNG)エンジンを搭載した大型トラックにおいて、燃料配管に装着した主止弁の材質が不適切なため、融雪剤など塩素を含んだ水分が付着すると、主止弁に亀裂が生じることがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が進展し、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、主止弁を対策品に交換する。
