Defect
On the rear brake system of large trucks, the brake chamber has insufficient strength. Vibration frequencies generated when driving over rumble strips (vibra-lines) on highways at 80 km/h may cause cracks to develop in the brake chamber. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate and, in the worst case, the chamber may separate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the rear brake chambers. If an unmodified unit is installed, replace the brake chamber assembly with a corrected/revised part.

状況
大型トラックの後輪制動装置において、ブレーキチャンバーの強度が不足しているため、自動車道路等における区分線（バイブラライン）上を時速８０ｋｍ／ｈで走行した際の振動周波数によってブレーキチャンバーに亀裂が生じることがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、当該チャンバーが分離するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、後輪のブレーキチャンバーを確認し、未対策品が装着されている場合には、ブレーキチャンバーアッセンブリを対策品と交換する。
