Defect
On medium-duty trucks, the exhaust port structure of the air control valve is improperly designed. During snow driving or similar conditions, moisture can accumulate on the exhaust port and freeze, blocking the port. As a result, air cannot be expelled when the brake pedal is released, causing the brakes to drag. In the worst case, this can lead to a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, install a cover over the exhaust port of the air control valve.

状況
①中型トラックのブレーキシステムにおいて、エア制御弁の排気部構造が不適切なため、雪道走行等で排気部に水分が付着すると、凍結して排気部が閉塞することがある。そのため、ブレーキペダルを戻してもエアが排出できず、ブレーキが引きずり、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、エア制御弁の排気部にカバーを取付ける。
