Defect
During manufacturing of the driver-side SRS airbag inflator, the desiccant was assembled in a moisture-saturated condition. Repeated ambient temperature cycling causes the propellant to deteriorate. During airbag deployment, internal inflator pressure may rise abnormally, and the inflator housing may rupture.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the driver-side SRS airbag inflator with a corrected part.

状況
運転者席側SRSエアバッグのインフレータ(膨張装置)において、インフレータ製造時に乾燥剤が吸湿した状態で組み付けられたため、環境温度変化の繰り返しにより、ガス発生剤が劣化するものがある。そのため、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ内圧が異常上昇して、インフレータ容器が破損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、運転者席側SRSエアバッグのインフレータを対策品と交換する。
