Defect
In the fuel cell system, the FC boost converter's voltage step-up control is incorrect. During extended downhill driving, the converter's output voltage may exceed the maximum control voltage. This causes the warning light to illuminate and the fuel cell system to shut down, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the control software.
