Defect
In the auto-dimming mirror, an incorrect manufacturing process has allowed foreign matter to contaminate the internal circuit board on some units. This causes a short circuit in the electronic circuit, melting the resin material and producing smoke. In the worst case, the control fuse may blow and the engine may become unable to start.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the auto-dimming mirror is replaced with the corrected part.

状況
自動防眩ルームミラーにおいて、部品の製造工程が不適切なため、内部基板に異物が混入しているものがある。そのため、電子回路が短絡して樹脂材が溶け発煙し、最悪の場合、コントロールヒューズが溶断してエンジンが始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、自動防眩ルームミラーを対策品に交換する。
