Defect
On light trucks, the bolts securing the fuel supply pump to the engine were tightened with insufficient torque. Driving vibration and other in-service loads may cause the fastening points to loosen over time, increasing pump vibration. In the worst case, this vibration can crack the fuel pipe, causing a fuel leak.
Corrective action
Inspect the supply pump mounting fasteners on all vehicles. If loosening is found, replace the engine with a corrected unit. If no loosening is found, retighten the fasteners to the specified torque.

状況
小型トラックの燃料噴射装置において、サプライポンプをエンジンに取付けるボルトの締結力が不足しているため、走行振動等により締結部が緩むことがある。そのため、サプライポンプの振動が増大し、最悪の場合、燃料パイプに亀裂が発生し、燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、サプライポンプ締結部の点検を行い、緩んでいる場合はエンジンを良品に交換、緩んでいない場合は増締めを行う。
