Defect

On aerial work platforms, a design deficiency in the vehicle battery charging control circuit within the work equipment battery unit allows electrical noise to occur immediately after charging to the vehicle battery is interrupted. This noise may damage the IC (integrated circuit) within the circuit, disabling the vehicle battery charging function. Continued operation under this condition may result in the engine being unable to start after work operations.

Corrective action

On all affected vehicles, replace the vehicle battery charging control circuit with a corrected/revised part.
