Defect
In the driver's airbag inflator, a wrong partition plate—which forms the inflation gas flow path inside the inflator—was installed during assembly. When the airbag deploys, internal inflator pressure rises abnormally, causing the inflator housing to rupture and fragment. Fragmentation may injure vehicle occupants.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the production number of the driver's airbag. If the vehicle is affected, replace the inflator with a genuine, correct-specification unit.

状況
運転席用エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、エアバッグ膨張ガス流路を形成している仕切り板に異品を組み付けたものがある。そのため、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ内圧が異常上昇し、インフレータ容器が破損して飛び散り、乗員が負傷するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、運転席エアバッグの製造番号を確認し、対象の場合は、当該インフレータを正規品と交換する。
