Defect
The exhaust port on the electric brake vacuum pump — which supplies negative pressure to the brake booster — is incorrectly positioned, allowing mud and sand containing de-icing agents to accumulate and enter the port. This causes corrosion of the pump body and may eventually block the exhaust port. As a result, the brake warning light illuminates and an audible warning sounds, and the electric brake vacuum pump stops operating. Continued use under these conditions may extend stopping distance.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the complete electric brake vacuum pump assembly with the corrected part.

状況
ブレーキ倍力装置に負圧を供給するブレーキ負圧電動ポンプの排気穴の位置が不適切なため、凍結防止剤を含んだ泥・砂が排気穴に付着・侵入し、ポンプボデーが腐食することにより、排気穴が閉塞する場合がある。そのため、ブレーキ警告灯が点灯するとともに警告音が鳴り、ブレーキ負圧電動ポンプが停止し、そのままの状態で使用すると制動距離が長くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブレーキ負圧電動ポンプ一式を対策品に交換する。
