Defect
The crimp management of the control relay for the electric brake vacuum pump — which supplies negative pressure to the brake booster — is inadequate, causing the relay contacts to stick in the closed (ON) position. As a result, the brake warning light illuminates and an audible warning sounds, and the electric brake vacuum pump stops operating. Continued use under these conditions may extend stopping distance.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected relay with the corrected part.

状況
ブレーキ倍力装置に負圧を供給するブレーキ負圧電動ポンプの制御用リレーのカシメ管理が不適切なため、リレー接点がオンの状態で固着する場合がある。そのため、ブレーキ警告灯が点灯するとともに警告音が鳴り、ブレーキ負圧電動ポンプが停止し、そのままの状態で使用すると制動距離が長くなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、該当のリレーを対策品に交換する。
