Defect

In the differential assembly of these trucks, the carburizing treatment applied to the side gears during the manufacturing process was improperly performed, resulting in insufficient hardness on affected units. Continued operation causes gear tooth fracture accompanied by abnormal noise. In the worst case, all gear teeth may fracture, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the differential assembly will be replaced with a unit containing properly manufactured gears.

状況

トラックの差動装置において、サイドギヤの製造工程における浸炭処理が不適切なため、硬度が低下しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該ギヤの歯が折損して異音が発生し、最悪の場合、全歯が折損し走行不能に至るおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、良品のギヤを組み込んだ差動装置に交換する。
