Defect
In the differential assembly of these trucks, the carburizing treatment applied to the side gears during the manufacturing process was improperly performed, resulting in insufficient hardness on affected units. Continued operation causes gear tooth fracture accompanied by abnormal noise. In the worst case, all gear teeth may fracture, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the differential assembly will be replaced with a unit containing properly manufactured gears.

状況
