Defect
On vehicles on which the battery was relocated, the waterproofing applied to the battery harness crimp terminals was performed incorrectly. Rainwater splashed during driving may enter through slits in the corrugated tube and cause corrosion at the crimp terminals. As corrosion progresses, the circuit may experience a broken wire or disconnection and, in the worst case, result in engine starting failure or lighting system malfunction.
Corrective action
Retrofit the battery harness crimp terminal area on all vehicles to add proper waterproofing.

状況
バッテリーを移設した車両において、バッテリーハーネスの圧着端子部の防水処理が不適切なため、走行時に巻き上げた雨水がコルゲートチューブのスリットから浸入し、圧着端子部が腐食する場合がある。そのため、腐食の進行により断線し、最悪の場合は、エンジンの始動不良、灯火器不灯等に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、バッテリーハーネス圧着端子部を改修し、防水処理を追加する。
