Defect
In the hybrid system power converter (DC-AC inverter), variation among components in the motor control circuit or generator control circuit may cause component temperatures to rise and exceed the allowable temperature of the heat-dissipating solder, damaging the solder and the components. This triggers a warning indication and renders the vehicle inoperable. In the worst case, high-voltage system current flows into the control circuit, blowing the power circuit fuse so that the vehicle becomes inoperable without any warning indication.
Corrective action
Replace the power converter module on all vehicles with a corrected part.

状況
ハイブリッドシステムの電力変換器(DC-ACインバータ)において、モータを制御する回路上または発電機を制御する回路上の素子間にばらつきがあると、素子温度が上昇して放熱用半田の許容温度を超え、放熱用半田および素子が損傷することがある。そのため、警告表示が出て走行不能となることがある。最悪の場合、高電圧系統の電流が制御系回路に流れ、電源回路のヒューズが切れて警告表示が出ることなく走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該電力変換器のモジュールを対策品と交換する。
