Defect
The engine wire harness was improperly routed during assembly, causing a portion of the harness to press against an intake manifold mounting bolt during vehicle use. This contact damages the harness. Continued operation may cause rough idling and warning light illumination and, in the worst case, engine stall with inability to restart.
Corrective action
On all affected vehicles, inspect the engine wire harness routing. If the routing is improper, correct it. If the harness tape surface shows abrasion, rewrap the tape. If the conductor wires are damaged, replace the engine wire harness with a new unit.

状況
エンジンハーネスの配索が不適切な状態で組み付けられたため、使用過程でハーネスの一部が吸気マニホールドの取付けボルトに押し付けられるものがある。そのため、ハーネスが損傷し、そのまま使用を続けると、アイドリング不良、警告灯点灯などが発生し、最悪の場合エンジンが停止して再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該エンジンハーネスを点検し、配索が不適切であった場合は、適切な配索に修正する。また、当該エンジンハーネスのハーネステープ表面に擦れがある場合には、テープを巻き直し、芯線に損傷がある場合には、エンジンハーネスを新品に交換する。
