Defect
On transit buses, the battery ground circuit ground cable terminal is not securely fixed to the vehicle body due to a manufacturing defect: the ground cable terminal mounting bolt nut is misaligned with the vehicle body hole, causing interference between the bolt threads and the vehicle body. This causes the ground cable terminal mounting bolt to loosen and create a poor electrical connection. As a result, battery power may be interrupted, and in the worst case, the engine may stall or, if a door was open at the time, the door may close unexpectedly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, re-tap the ground cable terminal mounting bolt nut and replace the ground cable terminal mounting bolt with a new one.

状況
路線バスのバッテリのアース回路において、下記の製造時の原因によりアースケーブル端子と車体の固定が不確実なため、アースケーブル端子固定ボルトが緩み、接触不良となるものがある。そのため、バッテリ電源が断たれ、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止したり、扉が開いていた際は、扉が閉じるおそれがある。 ③アースケーブル端子固定ボルト取付けナットと車体穴の芯がずれ、ボルトのねじ山と車体が干渉する。
改善措置
全車両、アースケーブル端子固定ボルト取付けナットをねじ切り処理し、③アースケーブル端子固定ボルトを新品に交換する。
