Defect
On transit buses, the battery ground circuit ground cable terminal is not securely fixed to the vehicle body due to a manufacturing defect: anti-rust wax material is trapped between the ground cable terminal and the vehicle body. This causes the ground cable terminal mounting bolt to loosen and create a poor electrical connection. As a result, battery power may be interrupted, and in the worst case, the engine may stall or, if a door was open at the time, the door may close unexpectedly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, re-tap the ground cable terminal mounting bolt nut, remove the anti-rust wax material, and replace the ground cable terminal mounting bolt with a new one.

状況
路線バスのバッテリのアース回路において、下記の製造時の原因によりアースケーブル端子と車体の固定が不確実なため、アースケーブル端子固定ボルトが緩み、接触不良となるものがある。そのため、バッテリ電源が断たれ、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止したり、扉が開いていた際は、扉が閉じるおそれがある。 ②防錆ワックス材がアースケーブル端子と車体の間に噛み込んでいる。
改善措置
全車両、アースケーブル端子固定ボルト取付けナットをねじ切り処理し、②防錆ワックス材を除去すると共に、アースケーブル端子固定ボルトを新品に交換する。
