Defect
On broadcast relay vehicles, the weld securing the muffler heat protector bracket has insufficient strength. Vehicle vibration during operation causes cracks to develop at the weld. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate and, in the worst case, may cause the heat protector to detach.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the heat protector with a corrected part that uses a revised mounting method.

状況
放送中継車のサイレンサ用ヒートプロテクタ取付部の溶接強度が不足しているため、走行時の車両振動等により、当該溶接部に亀裂が生じるものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、当該ヒートプロテクタが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、固定方法を変更した対策品のヒートプロテクタに交換する。
