Defect
Incorrect instructions for the plug weld location on the propeller shaft resulted in insufficient weld strength on some vehicles. Continued use can cause a crack to develop at the plug weld and, in the worst case, fracture the propeller shaft, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the propeller shaft with a corrected part.
