Defect
On low-floor, rear twin-axle air suspension vehicles, the shock absorber stopper function in the ride-height adjustment system is insufficient. During cargo loading and unloading operations, the vehicle height may rise beyond its maximum limit, causing the internal piston mounting nut to fall out. Continued use allows the shock absorber piston rod to pull free, resulting in bending or fracture. In the worst case, the displaced rod may contact the tire, causing a burst or generating enough heat to ignite a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the shock absorbers with the corrected parts and issue a usage advisory to owners regarding proper vehicle operation.

状況
低床式後2軸の空気ばね式緩衝装置の車高調整装置において、ショックアブソーバのストッパー機能が不十分なため、荷役作業時等に最大車高以上に車高が上がり、内部のピストン取付ナットが脱落するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると当該ショックアブソーバのピストンロッドが抜け出し、曲がりや折損が発生し、最悪の場合、タイヤと干渉してバーストまたは発熱により発火するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ショックアブソーバを対策品に交換するとともに、ユーザーに対し、車両使用上の注意喚起を行う。
