Defect
On low-floor dual-rear-axle vehicles equipped with an air suspension height adjustment system, attempting to raise the vehicle above its maximum height during loading or unloading operations may cause the piston mounting nut inside the shock absorber to fall out, due to an inadequate stopper function. Continued use allows the shock absorber piston rod to pull free, resulting in bending or fracture. In the worst case, the rod may contact the tire, causing a burst or generating sufficient heat to cause ignition.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the shock absorbers with corrected parts and issue a safety advisory to owners regarding proper vehicle operation.

状況
低床式後2軸の空気ばね式緩衝装置の車高調整装置において、荷役作業時等に最大車高以上に車高を上げようとすると、ショックアブソーバのストッパー機能が不十分なため、内部のピストン取付ナットが脱落するものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると当該ショックアブソーバのピストンロッドが抜け出し、曲がりや折損が発生し、最悪の場合、タイヤと干渉してバーストまたは発熱により発火するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ショックアブソーバを対策品に交換するとともに、ユーザーに対し、車両使用上の注意喚起を行う。
