Defect

On vehicles converted to car transporters, the bracket installed to relocate the brake air master has insufficient rigidity. During vehicle operation, the brake air pipe vibrates and may develop cracks, causing air to leak. In the worst case, braking force may decrease.

Corrective action

To increase the rigidity of the air master mounting bracket: (1) install a new bracket on the underside of the frame; (2) install two new stays; (3) simultaneously replace the air pipes — the three pipes at risk of fracture — with new parts.

状況

車両運搬車に改造した車両において、制動用エアマスターを移設するために取付けたブラケットの剛性が不足している。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、走行時にブレーキ用エアパイプが振動して亀裂が発生し、エアが漏れるものがあり、最悪の場合、制動力が低下するおそれがある。

改善措置

エアマスターの取付けブラケットの剛性を上げるため、 ①フレーム下面にブラケットを新規に取り付ける。         ②ステーを新規に2ケ所取り付ける。 ③同時にエアパイプ新品に交換する。(折損のおそれがある3本)
