Defect
During vehicle manufacturing, an inappropriate lubricant was applied to the contact points of the brake light switch. Heat generated during repeated contact cycling oxidizes the lubricant residue, increasing contact resistance at the affected switch. When the electrical load on the contacts is low, the switch may fail to conduct, causing the brake lights and auxiliary brake lights to stop illuminating. (This recall supplements notification number 1350, filed February 2, 2005, by adding additional affected vehicles under a new filing.)
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the brake light switch with a new unit.

状況
車両製作工程で制動灯スイッチの接点部に不適切な潤滑剤が付着したため、接点の断続の際に発生する熱により潤滑剤成分が酸化し、当該接点部の接触抵抗が増大するものがある。そのため、接点にはたらく電気負荷が小さいと、当該スイッチが導通不良となり、制動灯及び補助制動灯が点灯しなくなるおそれがある。 (本件は、平成17年2月2日付け「届出番号1350」にてリコール届出を行ったものですが、対象車両を追加し、新たに届出するものです。)
改善措置
全車両、制動灯スイッチを新品に交換する。
