Defect
The surface cleaning performed on front wheel coil springs prior to painting is inadequate. When vehicles are operated for extended periods in corrosive environments involving de-icing agents, the paint delaminates and rust develops. Continued use allows the rust to progress until the spring fractures, which in the worst case renders the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
Replace the affected coil springs on all vehicles with corrected parts.

状況
前輪用コイルスプリングの塗装前に行なう表面洗浄に不適切なものがあるため、凍結防止剤等による腐食環境下で長期間使用されると塗装が剥れて錆が発生することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、錆が進行して折損し、最悪の場合、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該コイルスプリングを良品と交換する。
