Defect
On four-wheel-drive vehicles with an automatic transmission, some washers assembled onto the pinion gear in the front axle actuator contain a manufacturing defect. Continued use causes the washer to sustain damage and produce abnormal noise, and in the worst case results in reduced acceleration and loss of mobility.
Corrective action
Verify the serial number of the automatic transmission on all vehicles. Replace the washer with a conforming unit on any affected vehicle. If the washer has already sustained damage, replace the automatic transmission assembly.

状況
自動変速機付き四輪駆動車の前輪用作動装置において、小歯車に組付けている座金に製造 不良のものがあるため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該座金が損傷して異音が発 生し、最悪の場合、加速が悪くなって走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、自動変速機の製造番号を確認し、該当するものは当該座金を良品と交換する。ま た、座金が損傷している場合は自動変速機を交換する。
